UnityPoint Health has 721 certified nurses on staff at its Methodist, Proctor and Pekin campuses. Board certified nurses are recognized for their professionalism, leadership, and commitment to excellence in patient care.
UnityPoint Health – Pekin Accepting Scholarship Applications(2-10-2017) (February 10, 2017) The Unity Point Health – Pekin Auxiliary is now accepting scholarship applications from local students enrolled in a health care professions program. Each year the Auxiliary’s scholarship committee reviews applications and awards funds based on course of study, scholarship achievements, course requirements, letters of recommendation and financial need. The committee awarded a total of $3,500 to seven students in 2016.

UnityPoint Health – Pekin re-designated as a Baby-Friendly birth facility(2-1-2017) Baby-Friendly USA, Inc. recently announced that UnityPoint Health – Pekin has received prestigious international recognition and has been re-designated as a Baby-Friendly birth facility. Baby-Friendly USA, Inc. is the U.S. authority for the implementation of the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI), a global program sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
Progressive Health Systems and UnityPoint Health – Peoria Finalize Affiliation Agreement(1-10-2017) The Boards of Directors of Progressive Health Systems and UnityPoint Health – Peoria have finalized and approved an affiliation agreement, which became effective January 1st, 2017. The agreement brings the two systems together, allowing for enhanced access to primary care providers and specialists while improving care coordination and patient experience.
